Bangkok question from new member

Hello All,

Nice site! I am a guy that comes to Bangkok every year and am also interested in starting a rep watch collection. I have been hunting around the various sites of late and the process appears quite fun. As kind of an adventurer and risk-taker I am inclined to want to find my own deals. Maybe find a MBW at MBK. Am I being foolish? Would it be better for me to find a trusted dealer in Bangkok, and is that possible or do they only sell on-line?

Much appreciation in advance to whomever would be so kind as to answer a novices inane questions.

Reps in general will be a crap shoot for you in BKK. Because of police clampdowns and swingeing financial penalties the big wholesalers arnt looking for any strange new faces, nor buyers wanting to plough thru their stocks on the promise of a couple of sales.

Speak to the guy who runs the corner shop (arrowed) hes probably the most up to date in MBK with his reps and will get most 'high end' items..price you will have to wrestle for yourself ;)
