An interesting experiment

Hello everyone. I am an RN in Neuro ICU, and the Neurologist I work for is always showing off his Rolex watch. I ordered this from Trusty: http://www.yourtrustytime.com/index....2d088fd69c0e85

Hopefully I will get it before Christmas. I will wear it to work and tell the Doc it was a Christmas gift from my wife and see if it fools him. I chose that particular model because it is on the lower side of Rolex prices, so it would be more believable that I would actually own one. I will repost after I receive it and show it to the Neurologist.

What are you going to do if he asks: Did you get that from Josh or Andrew"?

Seriously, he will more than likely compliment you, and that will be that. If you are buying this watch as simply an "expiriment", save some coin and check out some of the 21j Rolex models that Watcheden is offering.

He won't know the difference...

He may be a geek himself! :)

I don't think the Doc will know the difference...I have several Doc buddies and it's all about the 'bling'... so you should be okay!

If it doesn't tick ...he'll assume it's a gen :p

Just to add, they would say love the Rolex Prez, not into the Panerai, but looks nice....

Do I really need to dig that TRF thread again where everyone is complementing a replica? A pretty bad one at that too, its not even a BK.

Got the watch today. It's very nice. Even has a good etching in the crystal @ 6:00. Only complaint is that the lume is terrible. I have a 20 year old Citizen that's 10 times brighter.

How much does it cost to get a decent lume job? Because otherwise, I'm very happy with this watch.

About $120 + shipping.

Got a quote on it from vac for 130. I wish I knew more about this stuff, because I can't decide if it's worth putting the money into.

What did the Doc. say? Could he tell?

He hasn't seen it yet, everyone else at work has, and all comment at how great it is.
