New member from Toronto, Canada, here. Just a brief bio - 42 years old, getting into the rep scene. Before I discovered RepGeek, I was perfectly happy with the SD rep I wear. Now, thanks to the amazing info available on the site, I've discovered a dozen (literally!) flaws with it! Time to buy an SSD, methinks -- I'm three-quarters of the way to convincing She Who Must Be Obeyed that it's a good idea. And a BKmariner?? Hmm ... if I don't win the raffle, I may have to take the plunge there, as well!

josevancouver ... bc is such a great place had the good fortune to summer there in 1981 ... loved it did all the tourist things with my cousins and took the ferry over to schlett (sp?) island and pender harbor ... taking my wife back in summer of 08 ... best now

I'd get on the waiting list for a BKmariner now. I listed in early December, and am patiently waiting for my turn. I expect it will be coming up sometime this month. Fingers crossed. But seriously.. list for a BKmariner now, as it can take a few months before your turn comes up. :) If you win the raffle, I'm sure BK would understand.

Took the plunge ...
Hmmm ... I've taken the advice of those older and wiser than me in the forum, and ordered my SSD from Andrew. (I'll just explain to the wife that I sent an innocent e-mail inquiring about the watch, and due to some tragic Anglo-Cantonese translation error, ended up making a purchase instead. Sure, I'll end up on the couch for a night, but wearing that beauty on my wrist will make it feel so much more comfortable ;) )
Glad to hear there are so many GTA members on the site - maybe someone can advise me about who I can get in the area to do the CG mods to bring the SSD up to near-gen appearance. I figure with that and a watchmaterial pearl, I'll be set.
