Welcome,
If you are in the US I would try wbk first to get your feet wet.
thanks. wbk is def high on my list. i have puretime and trusty time on there as well
All good but Stan at WBK will get it to you ASAP and if there are any issues he will take care of you and everything happens with no overeas hassles.
You should take a couple of weeks and read the reviews on the watches that you are interested in. There are some pretty big swings in quality and accuracy in the cheaper watches. My first rep was a Breitling Superocean Steelfish - excellent rep but be careful who you buy from as there seems to be different factories and some of them produce low quality pieces.
Best thing to do is take your time and buy good quality pieces - you will always be able to sell them for close to what you paid for them. ;)
thanks for all the info. im definitely a newb so i have lots to learn.
any info on allofwatches.com?
Check out the new Panerai 111J and 177L some of the trusted dealers are offering, nice reps and good value.
The new 177 is agreat way to dip ya feet in
and cheap too. But go back a year
if a member dropped a pam in the sales section
on par with this new one., it would have flew out at $650
TBW - you can read the scammers section (not saying it is a scam site, but I never heard of it and would be very hesitant to buy).
One of the great thing about RG is that our dealers have been vetted. Now, some people think highly and some do not about all the different dealers, but the key is they have been vetted. Plus, there is recourse within this community if something goes afoul.
Buying from these random websites... quite often you get something completely different and - when you let them know - they tell you to kiss their arse. That is if you are lucky to get any watch at all.
I would read the posts on here, observe and ask questions.
Regarding Stan (WBK), the guy is as honest as the day is long and you simply cannot go wrong buying from him. He gets you your watch within days, performs good quality control (QC), and backs up his product. Good place to start.
That said, do read as there are different factories, different 'issues' with some watches, etc.
awesome, i had this one bookmarked
