New Member With a Question About Quartz Reps

Great community here, I'm learning quite a bit!

One newbie question I have is, with a few quartz chronograph replicas I've purchased, I've noticed that the watch will continue to keep accurate time, but the "seconds" hand will sometimes stop at either the "12" position or the "6" position. If I click the top button, the second hand will start again, but then hours later stop again. The smaller "chrono" dial will just keep going, never stopping.

I'm a newbie, but I'm assuming because these are replicas the smaller dials are just for looks, and don't actually function as a chronometer. Is the main "second" hand supposed to randomly stop like that as a function?

Do I just not know how to use the watch? i just assumed the top button starts/stops the chrono, and the bottom button just resets it. Are there more functions?

The quartz reps can be problematic, well they all can from time to time. :lol: The higher end rep's, everything can/should fully function and keep very good time.
