Best beginner Rep?

Looking to purchase a rep. Have been doing alot of reading on the forum. What do you guys think is a good first purchase or a must have rep? Thanks in advance.

sfso (breitling steelfish) or UPO (Maybe you can get the Asian UPO for $118 from Josh if he still has it available). If not try to get a really good accurate rep...that way you will definitely be hooked. LOL

The Rolex Exporer I appears (to me anyway) to be the most exact 1:1 rep and only cost about $99-$108.00.

For the price, Rolex SSD. Most here will agree that its pretty good out of the box. I have seen good reviews of Josh & Andrew's stuff. Sead1999 has them for $260.00 shipped. You can PM him and ask him to get one.

Depends on how much you want to spend on your baptismal...

but I'd vote for the SSD over the sub in the rolex family. Or better yet a SOSF.

I'm a noob, and I went with Ultimate BCE as my first rep, and I've been on compulsive buying frenzy ever since!!! I blame my addiction on these guys here. :p

I say DO NOT start with el cheapo. you will very likely be disappointed by how 'off' they are. There are a few exceptions however.
Like many here sugested, go with the 'Ultimate' models with cheaper asian movements. You won't be disappointed, and won't break your bank either.

I would suggest get the SSD and yeah the 'ultimate' with asian movements. Good luck!

For me the Vacheron Constantin Overseas is the must have in my collection.

Strangely, I would barely have given it a second look when I first started collecting but that seems quite common here. Your opinions will change so your chance of getting your perfect watch first time in virtually zero.

Guess you'll just have to build up an entire collection ;)
