Finally Found a board
Just wanted to say I am very happy to have found this board!!! The company I work for sent me to China 18 months ago to help start up their new factory in Langfang. After several weeks of working they arranged a Sunday trip into Beijing to the silk market, pearl market and several other places.
I ended up buying several watches and had a blast wheeling & dealing for the best price. I didn't even own a watch when I went to China, now I can't get enough--my kids think I am crazy. Maybe its a midlife crisis or something.
I have paid rather high prices for the watches I have purchased since returning from China but things are looking up from what I have seen on this board!!

I am from Louisiana. The company I work for (like most american manufacturers) are building Factories in China for low cost, and very energetic workers. I am an Electrician & Instrument Technician by trade. I was lucky enough to be selected by Corporate Engineering to go work in China for 6 weeks to help debug the new factory and get it up & running. I had a great time while there and saw some amazing things.

When I was in the jewelry business, I had to go to HK and China to open (and close and move and close, etc...) factories for a few years. The 16 hr flights killed me, but getting there and immersing in that culture was really exciting.
