I'm officially hooked....
I guess I'm the newest guy bitten by the rep craze. A friend referred me here when I showed him my rep sub I bought in Iraq that had stopped working. Since then, I have been pouring through the forum reading up on subs. Should I get the noob, or the beginner, or the perfect.... So.... last night, I bought a BKMariner. If your gonna dive in, dive in with both feet, I always say.
Now, one night into my four week wait, I'm impatient... should I get the noob LV? Then I saw the Omega Planet Ocean Chrono for $118 Andrew's selling... Just bought it...
29 more nights to go..... I better quit surfing or my wife is going to kill me at this rate.
Anyway... Thanks everyone. I'm officially no longer a "lurker"

How right you all are....
I'm pretty handy with tools, so I want to mod a "noob". With that in mind, I talked to Andrew before he got my PO in the mail, and added a beginnermariner LV to my upcoming collection.
I've got a handful of Middle East rep subs.... I'll use those to practice on, then when I think I'm ready, I'll mod out my LV!
Once I get ready to crack those open, I'll post the pics so maybe you smart guys can help me identify what parts are in those very cheap reps.
Thanks for all the kind words and encouragment.
As for buying the wife a rep.... I have a cheap Ladies Oyster Perpetual and YM. I'm going to try to fix those up first.
