Hi from Thailand
Hi all,
I a Brit living and working in Thailand currently. I know that most of the Trusted Dealers ship from China, UK or US. Do any ship from Thailand?
The problem is that that whenever I have had things shipped to me before, customs have always checked the package. This has been via the usual EMS service. It has usually been books, clothes etc and I have only ever been charged duty once and that was on a pair of headphones. However, I can guarantee that if a watch is in there, it will either be confiscated or have a large duty charged on it.
Have any other Thai based members had any experiences?
Secondly, has anyone tried the site www.naligaswiss.com? They deliver the watch so I guess it can be COD, which cuts down any chance of a scam. I should then be able to check the watch before paying.

Welcome to the forum Finchy. I'll give you the same advice that most of the people here will give you. Stick to the trusted dealers here on RG. The dealers here have a proven record of honest dealing.
As far as Thailand goes, send a PM to Nembo. He's one of the forum admins, and lives there in Thailand. He might be able to advise you.

Hello Finchy. I'm thai people here and I guess there is a small group of thai geek around here but they normally read but not frequently post.
Yes. I'm the one who buy stuff from overseas very often, EMS eat my taxes every boxes to me. But if you try Priority Mail or First Class Mail they are 50-50 to get the package witout taxes. EMS and Priority Mail they use the different set of CUSTOMS and not in the same location of office. That's why they ain't the same standard.
Or you can try some shipping guy (I know some) they can do clearing your package to you without taxes but you have to pay some coffee money. But cheaper. :D

PS. In Thailand you can find many local dealer of rep watchs. Their prices are cost you less than Trusted Dealer from China or HK and you can see the real watches before you pay.
