Hello
Just wanted to say a quick hello. I'm a forum junkie for my hobbies, but watches is a new one for me. I'm in trouble!! My brother in-law introduced me to rep watches a few weeks ago, and I've immersed myself every since.
A new job assignment has me wearing a suit instead of a uniform, so I figured it was a good excuse to pay a little more attention to my wardrobe, and a watch (or five) seemed like a good choice. I found a few forums, but I think I've found my home here. Easy to follow, easy to browse, and a ton of good information.
I've read most of the stickies, but still have a lot to learn. The acronyms are killing me!!! That being said, I even found a web page that has definitions for most of them.
I have a couple surprises in the mail as I type this, and am shopping for at least one more. Totally, totally hooked....
Anyway, hello!

Hi there, welcome to the forum! Be VERY VERY carefull! I just started this hobby about a year and a half ago, and now look at my sig. It's more of a disease than a hobby, but at least the forum keeps the symptoms at bay!
The hobby certainly has it's own language, but keep at it and they will all start to actually make sense. Glad you found us rather than just taking your chances out in the 'Wilds' of the internet. There are probably 10 scammers for every honest dealer, and RepGeek along with a few other forums really are the only safe haven for a new collector.
Jump right in and join the conversations. We're a pretty friendly bunch, and don't bite (much). Just don't ask 'Who makes the best Sub?' That's a code phrase for 'Let's beat up on the new guy'.
Anyway, welcome!
Kris
