What happened to the kids pic thread?
It's gone ! :(
Here are a few of me and my daughter from recent trip to Illinois
Sorry guys, but I had to permanently remove the thread.
RepGeek has legal counsel on staff and we were unfortunately informed that there was/is pending legal action w a forum [NOT RepGeek or watch/our hobby related at all] where a member or members had posted a picture that was reported to authorities and by default, the forum and its members pictures, appropriate or not, were subject to further investigation.
As much as I would love to allow the pictures, we felt it was best and prudent for everyone here, to avoid any potential issue. I know it sounds ridiculous, but per counsel, this was a pressing matter that required my/our attention.
In today's sue happy society, I'm sure you can appreciate why I had to make such a decision.
Again, apologies.
Sorry James..........did not know
Sorry
No worries meden. we had to do this to protect the forum from possible problems.
So I imagine no kid pics correct... I guess understandable.
Thats twice today,i seen that thread being an issue at some point as well.....unfortunate part of society these days....
Sorry to hear about the hassle,James.....:(
Totally understand James. As a parent, I can understand the caution around this as well.
Jose
ok clear!
Thanks!
You could have left my kid in there James , she's 25 :D
At times its a sad world that we live in :(
Are there any guidelines regarding what pictures can and can't be posted?
I thought that previously pictures just had to be 'work safe' but we seem to be beyond that.
Exactly don. that's the nail on the head.
it's quite sad that we had to do that.....but at the same time I feel sick for those ass**les out there.....
Totally sad decent people can not share family photos.
Unfortunate, but one should never post pictures of their children online.
F'n sickos ruin it for all.
Right to the gallows I say....
But that's another topic...
Agreed...
Thanks to everyone for understanding the staff position on this.
