Howdy! Welcome to RG! Make yourself at home.
Welcome. I am sorry you live in a sh*thole like DC.
DC = crime + crappy politicians
Nothing personal...I did say welcome...
It is also one of the cultural centers of the country ... great nightlife, best resturaunts south of NY ... and I could go on forever ....
As for the politicians ..... If you vote, you helped elect them .... if you didn't vote, then you don't have the right to complain ... But it's nothing personal ;)
Well its no different to most cities if you know where to go you wont find any trouble (And it hasnt been top of the US list of most crime cities for some time)....One thing is for sure..there is no city in the world that you can go into for a weekend, appreciate the sites, visit museams that dont cost a DIME and you get to see the nations treasures and history.
Politicians are another story....But remember these politicians represent every state in America and are voted in by the people of each state not the people of DC...(DC doesnt have any voting representative in the senate or House)...
