Seriously, welcome. Bring all your girl-frens, as they are welcome too. Tell your husband I used to be just like him. Buy whatever cheap battery watch you find, wear it until it dies, buy another. Remind him of Yankee ingenuity, and point out to him that a mechanical watch, (to include automatics and handwound models), are a tiny complex machine for the wrist. They are durable, and with the right movement and service, can and do last for years.
