Hello from California
What an eye-opening couple of weeks this has been! I've gone from knowing nothing (except that I like watches) to being able to bore my fiancee about escape mechanisms and lume!
I came upon the rep world after seeing numerous lovely watches advertised in a British car magazine called Evo. A Google search on them often brought up scammy rep sites, but further research brought me here and I discovered that I can have watches like these without emptying the bank account.
Being a huge motorsport fan, if a watch has a racing connection, I probably dig it - Chopard Mille Miglia, TAG SLR, Breitlings (the Bentley connection)... I even wrote a post about it on a motorsport blog I have.
But the watch that started all this is now on my wrist. I saw an ad for the Oris TT3 chrono (they sponsor the Williams Formula 1 team) and after spending much time here I purchased one from Andrew. It just arrived this morning and I'm so pleased with it.
So I'm hooked... in the mail from another dealer is an entry-level PAM 111H. Never heard of them before Repgeek, and in a few days I'll have one! :D
