New here from RWI
Good evening everybody my name is Richard Murphy and I'm from Augusta Georgia and I am a longtime member of RWI and the Rolex forum.
Even after RWI comes back online I would like to hang out and get to know some of you folks it seems like we all kind of run in similar circles.
I'm a former used car dealer I had a really bad heart attack and had to shut my lot down and so watches have kind of taken over my life, much to the chagrin of my wife ( lol )
Anyway I just wanted to first say hello and if anybody has any questions or anything like that I'd be happy to answer them… First off HAPPY EASTER to everyone from my family to yours.

Both of my girls have colds so none of us were really feeling to win the Easter egg hunting today and I would also ask for anyone who believes in prayer to pray for my five-year-old nephew who was camping and fell off his chair and burnt his arm and hand and is in the Charleston children's hospital in Charleston South Carolina right now having surgery.
I survived a massive widow maker heart attack that every doctor said I'd never make it out of the hospital and my nurse Maria kept telling my family to pray she said prayer works and I'll be damned if I didn't leave out of that hospital 3 weeks later.
Thanks everybody sorry for rambling....... Murph-

Welcome to RepGeek Murph! Rambling is okay, nice to get things off of your chest once in a while. Glad to hear that you've passed that heart attack trial. It can be tough for both of you and your family (lost my dad to it more than 10 years ago so I know how it feels) but prayers will provide you with the strength that you need. :) I've sent a prayer out for your nephew, accidents like that do happen but I pray that your nephew makes a complete recovery.
Enjoy your stay here in the forum even when RWI gets back online. Oh and Happy Easter! :D

Great intro! And with nice family photos to boot. Glad to know you are getting back in the pink of health. But do "watch" it with the new hobby- nothing raises one's heart rate quite like the expectation of something awesome in the mail from the other side of the world, every now and then. Well, maybe that's not necessarily a bad thing. [emoji1]

Welcome to the forum bro, last time I was at rwi "daytona4me' ran the show but that was many moons ago. Enjoy the forums and the hobby, it's addictive, both.

I have good news to report, my nephew is out of the hospital but did have significant 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his left hand and arm, pretty much as a result of breaking his fall but sadly it was in a fire.
In the end He's going to be ok though and that's what matters the most.
How about a watch picture to break the mood of this downer thread?
This is my 2013 model Marathon GSAR. What I like about Marathon is that there's not a ton of the out in the wild and they are built to military specs and the ETA 2824-2 inside this watch are awesome, and it's handsome as hell
