Posting images using Picr.me

Hi all, as it appears uploading images in a post using Picr.me seems to give a lot of new (and oldies) members a pita so here’s a write up on how to… you will get the picture…;)

First make an account on Picr.me - Free image sharing platform. It is free and no annoying adds or freeze ups like photobucket, imgur ect. (yet,….lol)

After you have made your account, go to:

Create new album

Give the album a name
I put album privacy on: Private anyone with link
Click Save changes

Your new album is ready for uploading images, just drag the images to the album.

Notice that if you have uploaded images before, they will not be accepted as it results in a failure: double or duplicated upload.

After the upload with the correct images is finished, it shows this screen:

Choose for Embed codes the Bbcode full linked, click copy and paste them in your thread on RG

I've wanted to contribute more to the forum with pictures, but to be honest couldn't be arsed with the hassle of using a hosting site, but this is quite simple, I better start snapping.

Thanks for the tutorial capice! The only thing that stops me using picr.me rather than imgur isn't that it's any more complicated to use - it's that you can't set pcr.me to have a dark background. For a site aimed (according to its makers) at photographers, that's daft. :)

If you would’ve taken the time to email us your suggestion it would’ve been an option by now :) Glad I found it here, we’ll work on a setting for a dark background.
