I paid for work from Domi that he dident do.

Hello,

To keep a long story short, i had a communication with Domi about mod my watch, now very much later ( because he fooled a un experienced guy shame on him )
I send my watch to SSteel, that opend up my watch and he just completly hussled me.

I paid for a mikey DW, ETA 2824 movement + ETA lowbeat mod.

Here is pictures on our conversation and also my watch opend up, Its 100% pure asian orginal movement, and not even the lowbeat mod is ETA.
The DW is a orginal DW and not a mikey DW, i paid around 450€ for this work.
Now he dosent answer my email and i dont honerstly know what to do, i got 10hours driving to his adress in Frankfurt but to do this type of fraud makes me want to do the driving.


Here is pictures of the watch, and also of the conversation. Its clearly written ETA MOVEMENT AND ETA LOWBEAT MOD, its no pictures on the DW but its coming streight from @SSTEEL and i would not misstrust him on this issue.

Can you tag some admins or how do i reach out to them? I got no problem to talk about it here in public because i havent done anything wrong, i paid what we agreed and i dident got what i orderd, the DW isent even changed, I wrote with mikey here on repgeeks and he was going to sell me a DW but when Domi wrote me i got one in stock i ofcourse said i buy it from you, and then he dont even change the DW but takes my money.

Its a pure fraud, whatever happend here isent a honerst misstake, you dont pay for a mikey DW and get a orginal back, or 230€ for ETA but get back a asian with just a tiny part changed to make it low beat, i could buy a powermatic 80 from ebay for 300€ if that is the case.

From my observation Domi seems honest and always does amazing work but he is always super busy...Maybe this one genuinely fell through the cracks.
Hang in there I'm sure Domi will make this right.

You may not have a problem venting in public but it's not the way we do it on the forums, first you approach the forum moderators and they will advise.

Im sorry if im venting it in the wrong place, i dident know where to go, i feel very cheated,sad and disappointed.
Also i think its more then a normal problem with just missunderstanding, as my printscreen also shows, where is the things i paid for?

How can you take money for a ETA + Lowbeat mod + Mikey DW, and get back orginal asian movement with orginal DW, how is this ever possible?
And the movement had a asian lowbeat mod, so its not like he forgot the work completly, he charge me for a ETA 2824 + Lowbeat mod and send back the orginal asian movement, and the DW wasent even put on the watch he still charge me 60€ for the Mikey DW.

I will see what the admins reply or if they PM me then, sorry if its in the wrong place.

I confirm, movement not ETA, its stock, including date wheel.

I order a new JF V9.5. I am waiting for it to arrive. Then I send you both watches and can I maybe bring my Mikey Dw and Eta Lowbeat to my new watch?

First of all, this was in 2017.
I used an ETA movement, changed it to low beat and used a Mikey datewheel. He contacted me after he got the watch back and wanted to buy a new v9.5 and he asked me to change the parts from his old diver to the new v9.5. I never heard anything from him until last week when he complained about his issue. I answered him in a mail. Now he is saying I do not answer him? I have no idea what he did with the watch during the last 2 years. Why didn‘t he sent it back?
Now this is closed for me. I do not have the time to deal with these kind of customers. This is my answer and I will not follow this anymore. He is welcome to visit me, I always mark my work.

Had a feeling this would end up a fishy story.

First post a complaint is never a good sign.

Hi sir, this is incorrect if he told you he answerd me on this issue since the watch was opend this Friday.

I asked him to change the ETA movement and the Mikey DW that suppose to be in the watch i paid for, to a V9.5 case because i wanted the new model and i had scratches on my v7 and the stem on the watch Domi gave me broke down in just some months.
He said yes and i decided to go to SSteel instead because of great communication.

The last email is dated 8 January, this he answerd yes he can (what parts will he change? its nothing in the watch)

Hi Domi, Dosent make a big diffrance but you did the work in April 2018.
But how can it be a ETA movement+ETA lowbeat and a Mikey DW when its nothing in the watch? SSteel just opend it up and its nothing there?
You are answering your own statement, i bought a new V9.5 thats correct, and wanted your mods from the V7 to go into the V9.5 case, thats why i also contacted SSteel instead of you, but its no parts in the watch?
I emailed you about the same subject as SSTeel, take the parts from the V7 to the V9.5, i send my watches all the way to Finland and when he open up the case your work is not there?

How is it any possibility that this is my fault? i paid you what we agreed on, i used my watch with care, send the watch to SSteel and when he open it, nothing.
You mean that the mikey DW and the ETA movement went up in smoke?
Or that i send SSteel 2 watches, with a long email conversation that my Domi watch got this mods, and when it arrive i just send him 2 orginal watches?

Im a streight up honerst person, i paid you every penny that you wanted for this work, 480€ or what amount it was i send to you, If the mikey DW is not there, the ETA movement is not there..
What did i pay for? The AR cyclobs and the zunken screws ?
And i dident tell you earlier because im not that great on watches, i just love them, but i havent touch the watch since it left your home, and when i got in touch with a professional i send it there and he confirm to me the work is not there.

Im a honerst guy, its nothing fishy from my side, the issue is clear and i did my part by paying, the work is not in the watch, missunderstanding or not missunderstanding the parts was clear in the email, also by the amount i paid.

I allready from the bat understood that Domi will not write "Hey im sorry i missed your whole Movement and Mikey DW here is your money back"
But to write "why dident you send it back earlier what have you done to it before this?" is just a lame excuse.
Im a honerst person, i dont sit 2 years to try to come to RG to hussle Domi on pennys, im also member of RWI since early 2012 if you want to check my account there, im not here to make a fight with Domi, but how is this even possible?
Im just sad over what he have done to me, i mean ofcourse he have some excuse, but if i go to work and someone pay me to deliver something and i get the money and i dont deliver it, thats on me, im the one going to the office, not the customer.

Correct, you talking against yourself mate, My ETA movement + Mikey DW, that i thought i had, that you suppose to put in the case ?
I bought a new watch, emaild you about take your work from the old case to the new case, but your work is not there. Asian movement with a orginal DW.
I also emaild SSteel the same email as you, but decided to go to him, and i sended both watches in the same package, the v7+v9.5.
You mean i did all this story and send both watches (one brand new in plastic) to Finland to try to get money from you?
