Seems to me that Rolex is worried that an “an average, reasonably well informed” Brit cannot tell the difference between an Oyster Perpetual wrist watch and an Oyster Pop wall clock. If i were a Brit I’d be greatly offended. Turning into a PR nightmare for a company known for being masters of PR.

True. Rolex's PR team have sunk their reputation with a silly response like this. It was usually these less-known, aspiring brands that adopted an aggressive approach like this. It's not just a bad PR move by Rolex, it's bad practice overall. Rolex's top management should have someone's аss for dinner.Quote:
