Greetings From Up North ( Canada that is!)
Hi All,
Happened upon this site totally by accident, I'm very impressed!!
I've been into reps for a while now, initially because I couldn't afford, or justify the "real" watches. Then I started to play with the reps that i did buy, not necessarily with the intention of making them perfect, but rather making them my own.
I have been lurking around a bit first just to see what the crowd is like over here...and I gotta say, it seems pretty stand-up and refreshingly frank and honest...just the way i like my forums :)
Although i don't have tons of reps, i have dabbled with a bit of modding in the past little while, with one project keeping my attention of late.
It's a Tudor sub rep that i took another member's advice from a conversation we had through email, and I milled off the lugs making my own custom "bond" style sub, but the Tudor version instead.

It is still missing the movement, as it would require an early tudor 390 to go with the genuine 70 factory replacement dial for the 7928 model that i found on ebay a while back, but the mock up with Gilt style hands and aged lume will give you an idea of where I'm going with it.
I hope to learn more from all of you in the time i spend here, learning and loving this crazy hobby we are just soooooo into!!!
All the best to you all, and I look forward to getting to know you all more.
Cheers, Johnny B
