How do you edit the title? - like this! ;)

I just tried to edit my sales title to let people know it's been sold

but it doesn't seem to change......am i doing something wrong?

I go edit -> advance edit -> change the title and save~

you click on the right of your title. you should see it become editable. At least I can, but then again I've god-like Mod powers.....now if you still can't...May I suggest prayer? maybe a little sacrifice?

I am personally partial to a nice black lamb and Panerais.....not necessarily in that order.

I just tested this on one of my posts on a different thread. Here is wahat you do:

1. Locate your post that you want to edit.
2. Click on the "Edit" button"
3. You will notice a Quick Reply section with the body of your post in the text window. Locate and click on the "Go Advanced" button.
4. This will take you to another screen that you can edit your title.

I hope this helps you do what you need to do.

That's exactly how I do it.........but for some reason, it doesn't work for me....hmmmm..

@anubis: yes, you can do that cuz you've got a mod god power! :lol: :p ;)

There is no need to go into the thread to edit the title.

Double lick on the blue area next to your thread and you will see it go into Edit mode and edit away.

i also can not edit my title in the sales section. when its sold you should be able to edit the title to post that its sold. thought i was the only one.

Italiano, did you try the method I suggested above. that will for sure work.

Yeah... I can't edit my titles either. I tried clicking the blue area next to my title but that doesn't work either.

I am on a mac running Safari.

Ill have keyhole try it since he runs a mac too. Maybe something with Safari. let me see if I can figure out another way.

i tried anubis's method.....no luck....i think it's for mod only

i tried sylar's method......no luck either......what blue arae sy? maybe it's something only admin/mod can see?????

I have another account that is just VIP I use for testing and it worked for it. eseentially double click fast next to your thread and youll the thread go into an edit box. This has to be done while viewin the threads not while in the thread. You will only be able to edit your own threads.

still dont know what "blue" area youre talking about. i clicked the whole screen and it didnt work,:undecided:

It has to be your thread for it to work.

still no luck, sy........is there any other alternative way to edit your title other than click on that "mysterious" blue area? LOL ;)

Sorry guys i was able to edit the test post with my test account as there is a timer after the post is made that allows this. Once the timer expires it can not be eidted. Currently you will not be able to modify your own title. I will work on a hack that will allow this on the Sales section only. Till then please ask a mod or admin to close your thread and end the sale. Finalizing a sale will be an option in the near future.

but i think it would be better to let us edit our own title on all section....not just on sales section...
