Hello, I ran across this site completely by accident.
Mechanical watches fascinate me. I love the intricate parts and the little movements. I love the way the gears interconnect with gems. Very nice. My first mechanical watch was my great, great, grand fathers conductor pocket watch (it doesn't work, and I am afraid to try and get it fixed) Since then, I have been enamored with the Swiss/Asian automatics and the Lemania manual wind watches. To that end, I just made my first purchase from Silix of a Navitimer with the Lemania movement. Of course. I am learning there is quiet a bit to learn about the Rep watch business, but it should prove to be fun and rewarding. :shh:
I have read the do's and don't for several days before deciding on who to order from. From a complete newbies perspective knowing who and what to buy without forums like his is a pretty gnarly experience. Thanks!
