Hi from Melbourne, Aus

I found out about this site completely by accident when I was trying to do some research on gen watches.

I have a gen Tag Heuer Kirium automatic chornograph. I've had it for nearly 4 years. When I first chose that watch I had near zero understanding about mechanical watches. I guess I liked Tag from all the marketing and really just wanted a watch that didn't need a battery.

How things have changed. Recently, I decided to get another gen mechanical watch, but one that I've researched, and understood better. Which was what lead me to this site.

So after spending more time then I should reading post during work, I think I might just fill the gap in with a rep Panerai ;) .

i got here the same way, looking to make sure that the gen watch I was looking at wasn't a rep. Then the bug hit and I'm a few watches heavier, and not so much lighter in the pocketbook :)

Thanks for all the warm welcomes :).

When looking for a good gen watch, I stumbled upon the PANs in a watch dealer shop in Melbourne and just loved it right away. Never heard or the brand or its history until now.

I had narrowed my gen search to 3 watches, the IWC Pilot Chorno, Omega Speedmaster Pro, or PAN Luminor under $5K if I could find a good one.

But, I think now I just have to decide who to get a modded rep PAN from.

Every time I go into the Panerai AD and try on a 111h (when they had one) or a 112, I just cannot get over how good the DSN Pams are.

They are basically the same watch.

Add in the modded versions available from Angus and TWP, and you have some great choices.
