Trade/Sale Threads
Thought it may be a good idea if sellers/buyers would leave all of the original post up as well as marking sold. I haven't been doing this, just deleting all of what was there and marking sold. Probably a good idea if there is ever a problem to have the thread as a benchmark for what exactly could be expected ect.
Related: Are the old sale threads saved or archived somewhere is case there is an issue after the fact?

yeah, we have all of them to date saved Phil. We're blowing through our host now though, we need to expand... and soon.
Since most pics are hosted through an off site service(photobucket/imageshack), if the pic is removed from your bucket for ex, it is also removed in the forum as well.
your point is good though, it serves as a good back up in the event of any issue w buyer/seller. RepGeek members sold over 50+ watches this month alone. I'm not sure how much longer we can keep all the data saved.

I have some free space depending on the file sizes, Figure that you could archive to plain text or w/e (if possible) or I could just burn them to DVD just in case. If there is a way to save as web archive and attach the pictures I would be happy to do so. Just let me know if I can be of any help. Hate to see a future situation get into a he said/ she said kind of thing, and although it may not ever arise, you never know what the future may hold.

Thanks for the offer Phil. Sylar and I are in the process of making more upgrades and buying additional bandwidth. I'll keep your offer in mind. We've found that we sometimes need to review records if a member is trading multiple watches over and over and using the same pics.

Maybe another suggestion for the member sale thread is have a folder to move all the sold items to, that way all the watches that are left for sale wont be buried by sold threads. Giving the current sale items more attention.

Phil, that's a great idea.
