Hello from sunny southwest Fla...

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am a true rep noobie. I became interested in watches years ago as a kid watching my grandfather work on his collection. I was always amazed at all the tiny parts, and how it made my grandfather beam with pride when he scored an antique for next to nothing and brought back to life... Well he passed on in 2003 at 87 yrs of age, and my father inherited all of his watches and tools. Then the unexpected happend. I lost my father to a stroke in 2005 at the young age of 64. I just now feel like getting into these watches and it brings me much joy.

Happy Holidays to all, and thanks for such a great site. Already have a BK Mariner on the way... Can't wait to get it on my wrist...

Glad you found us. Sorry to hear of your losses, but hopefully as you said, this hobby will give you much joy. You found a great place to make friends and learn as much as you could ever imagine about watches.

What a wonderful hobby to have passed down to you. I'm sure you know quite a bit more than the average joe about watches. Heck, maybe with those wonderful tools we have a future modder here.:rolleyes:

Welcome, Tim. It was a pleasure chatting with you today. My condolences about your dad; I didn't realize he had passed away when you quoted him.

Hope to see you again soon here. It's a terrific community. Your BK LV will undoubtedly set off a chain reaction of OCD behaviour.

Tim, welcome brother. Glad to see you here and that you have found some enjoyment on your grandfathers work. You must have an awesome collection of vintage pocket watches. I do hope that you share them with us if you can.
