Another newbie, introducing myself

To all interested,

I've recently joined your fantastic site here, as my obsession with expensive watches has driven me to find a more economical way to enjoy ownership. I've not yet purchased a rep, but am probably going to this week, as soon as I have a chance to familiarize myself with the details of this sub-culture.

I'd love any advice that you think a new rep-buyer might need, as it would help consolidate the wealth of information on the site.

I'll be spending some time reading, but I'd love to hear any advice you all have for me here in this thread.

I've looked at a few other threads in the 'Introduction' forum, and it seems many are interested in photographs, so I'll include one of me and my wife here.

Whan was the wedding?

Wow; I don't believe I've ever received such a warm greeting from an online community in... well, ever. Thanks to all of you for the welcome.

Xyphis, the wedding was just this past July 28th. We had a great time at the wedding, took a fantastic honeymoon, and are just enjoying being married immensely.

Again, thanks to all for the warm reception! I look forward to reading a TON, and hopefully contributing to this great forum.

A little late welcome from me here. Been dealing with bad weather here in the Chitown. Not fun. Looks like the snow finally has let down after droppping 6 inches on us.

Well, I'm not sure I'll ever be buying a 'her' watch; I asked her last night if she would like to have one and she said no; shes apparently totally uninterested.

However, that just apparently frees up more money for me to enjoy some new reps, and I'll be making my first purchase probably today.

Planning to buy the Mont Blanc Timewalker Chrono SS with black dial and 7750.

Any thoughts on the selection? I fell in love with the real deal at a MB store in a local mall while Christmas shopping, and now am obsessing about it. Anything I should know other than the basics on 7750 use/care? I am planning to purchase from Andrew/TrustyTime.
