Hi From London
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi Everyone
Have just joined today, have been looking for several weeks now
for a nice watch.
I came across this site and have found it very informative.
Saying that, i feel very nervous about making a purchase, fancy a Panerai, Omega or a Hublot. To tell you the truth I just can't make up my mind. I'ts driving me mad, look at one then another, crazy.
Any advice on sites or anything else would be most welcome.
All the Best to Everyone

ellooo :)
so what are you thinking of buying?
-
Hi there, thanks for responding.
Have been looking at the Panerai Luminor range, something around the £100.00 to £120 mark.
Then i start looking at the Omega Seamaster range...........
Would you know on the chronograph type watches, do the dials actually work.
Especially on the cheaper ones. Also do the dials conk out after a while, as i have been told?
Have been looking at a sites called Timesshop & Watcheden, any thoughts.

ahhh yes..... the lureee of the luminorrrrrr :p
yeah just go through the dealer section, since you are in the UK, i'd say try buying from Narikka, since he is in EU as well :) he can source the watches you want.
if you truly want extremely cheap pams... then PWC is having these crazy daily specials... with $50 111h!! but he ships from asia... so there's some chance of customs risk.
seamaster... planet ocean? then the 45mm has the UPO (ultimate planet ocean) which is the best.. and you can mod the hell outta it.
if you are looking at the 42mm PO, then that can be modded to the max also... just use the search function and look @ Pugwash's tutorial.
good luck

Plenty of "homework" before you buy ;)

Thanks everyone, some great advice.
Feel much more confident about buying now.
Will checkout the Narikka site, seems it could be a good option customs wise.
Not sure about Modding ,sounds a bit to advanced for me.
Thanks Again Everyone Have a Great Weekend

Welcome Kelboy from a fellow Londoner:)
Good selection for your first wish list, although Hublots will be the more expensive. There are a few UK based dealers I have used. PM me if you want more info.
I would recommend looking at the buying guides which you will find in many of the brand sections here.
Good luck and enjoy RG.
