Englishman in Brisbane
Hi RepGeek members,
My name is cookester and I joined up to this site a few days ago. Since joining I have been marvelling at some of the watches that I have seen. You all have some very nice pieces.
I'm an English man that has emmigrated to Australia. I have been interested in watches for a long time. I have always preferred a watch as an item of male jewellery, than to any other type. I currently own a gen Breitling (Chronomat, I believe) that my father bought for me for my 21st birthday, some 17 years ago. I also own a rep Franck Muller Casablanca, which I have had for about 2 years now. I also tried to purchase a rep Omega Speedmaster a few years ago, but got stung!!!
So why am I here? Well, I have been casually searching for a site such as this for a while now. Coinciding with that is my desire to purchase a few more watches. I fancy maybe tinkering around with some watches (Frankens, I believe you call it). So it seems to me that a forum such as this would be a great place to hopefully get involved with like minded people.
Look forward to learning from you all and getting to know you.
Cookester.
PS. I'm off to Sydney tonight to celebrate the New Year so won't be around for a week or so. So can I take this opportunity to wish you all a happy and successful 2010.
