Unaccustomed as I am..

..to introducing myself on such fora (or anywhere else for that matter), I thought it about time for me to "put myself out there" as it were:
Hello to all of you great guys and girls then! Although a relatively new-comer to this hobby, I have been a time regular reader, peruser, and admirer of several groups, but have not posted very much. My highest 'count' would be on the original (?) RWG, which seems to be running concurrently with a new version..I'm currently at three and a half reps - one beings in return transit to Andrew pending replacement.
Anyway, I've always liked the feel of this forum so here I am, out naked for all to see...

Happy 2008 to all of us. May it bring many more faithful reps to the many aficionado's that we are!

Thanks for all those warm welcoming words, folks - and for permission to put my clothes back on (it was getting rather chilly hanging out here on the coast)!
Now - if I can just get my naffing brand new SMP replaced, I'll be a lot happier. To make a short story unbearable.. (hmm, it just occured to me that I should perhaps be posting this bit in the Omega or dealer section. I'm sure I'll be told off soon enough if that's the case)..I bought an SMP I'd been promising myself for ages from Andrew at the end of last year. After his agreeing to "replace it 1:1", I shelled out an additional $19 to return it. They got it in China a week ago but Andrew's being rather inconsistent and somewhat lacking in his communication. Does anyone else have a similar experience? Does he credit or discount the next order to offset the additional expence incurred, at least (as does Jay)?

I can repost this in another, more appropriate section if you tell me which one this best fits - Omega or dealer.
