The first step to recovery is to buy another watch :D
It's not only watches that makes us keep coming back here. It is also because of those women in avatars.
Helpppp
It's honestly an addiction over hobby. You get one..two...three...ten..twelve... And still look for more
This!
Every year,I have a rep buying spree, realize how much I've sent, and promise to calm down. I withhold from new purchases for as long as I can, and then buy 4 watches at once. Every time is more expensive than the last...
If you're reading this, it's too damned late...
You're right, I'm addicted already and only signed up yesterday. I've spent a beautiful Saturday at the PC, reading this site while looking at great replicas. I gotta say I love it.
Dare I coin the phrase Horo-Oniomania.
Damn, that would have made a good profile name.
I am new but I only want to get like 4-5 in total plus 2-3 for gf (I have already bought 2+1)...
-BP Sub C
-Ladies 26 mm Datejust black
-Breitling Abyss Chrono white
Want to get
Pam 111
Pam 048 40mm for gf (partner look like with rolexes)
and maybe
Omega CrPo 42mm or AP Diver 3.5 and/or IWC 3714 and/or GMT2C
o noooo I'm (we are) getting addicted ;)

Well, if the purpose of this thread is to warn... we are warned.
if the purpose is to convince newbies that when I buy 1 rep, this very first one must be the emblematic model of each brand (one seamaster, one sub, one BR01-94, one PAM111, one... ) and then I'm allowed to get another one, which referred to the previous shows slight differences (that I'm welcome to make a review about), and afterwards I realize there's THE watch to have but it lacks AR, WR or servicing or must add any mod.... then I admit the amount of money threw into this hobby is more than what a gen would have cost.
But
it's so addictive that if the purpose of this post is to make us quit this hobby it won't be efficient (at least on me)
I think I've become quite disciplined in this hobby now... I'm finding it a lot easier to flip watches I don't wear and resist buying ones I don't 'need'
Probably because there isn't anything recently released which I haven't either got or owned at some point! haha
I'm sure this summer we'll get a few nice PAM's, AP's, couple more Rolex super reps among others and my addiction will be renewed!
Repgeek is ThERAPY...
Just ordered my first rep, and yes i feel the urge to get more once this one arrives...
Too late for me now i guess :D
"My name is slaughterer, and I am a watchaholic."
In unison: "Hello, slaughterer."
I think I joined a few years ago and I haven't bought a rep for quite awhile now. You become very discerning after you have spent $7-$8 large on these things. I am ashamed of my watchbox as it says something about me... Know what I mean? I have a problem.
Now this thread motivates me to buy yet another rep.... Why do u ppl do that.. Why
Because we like to be "enablers" to one another.
;) i guess its true
This is easily the most focused yet well-rounded forum I have ever been a part of. Satisfying indeed.
New kid on the block here.
Thanks for the warning. It's a tad too late for me though.
With 30+ watches (and a project watch and the lew and huey watch both pre ordered) currently I've found I'm bored of gen affordables and lusting after nicer pieces. But the heart desires what the wallet can not afford. So I find myself among you gents.
Thank you or having me, and thanks in advance for the wealth of knowledge you freely share.
For kicks here's my current collection.

It is as if you have stashed together all of your most precious luxuries (watches, cigars, cologne, whiskey, etc.) in one sacred shrine with an attack dog watching over it.
Good work man.
Love this site!!!! Its to late.....
I had a cheapie Tag day/date and recently lost it... been lurking for awhile and realized I needed a new watch. Somehow fell in love with these PAMS and now I have a 111 and 089 on the way and $300 in straps from Gunny. I can tell this is going to become a "problem"!
Just stumbled onto this thread, good one... addicted...says who... now I have to get back to the sales threads....
