Isn't that what religion is all about?

marriage and religion. Now, if we can just add Sarah Palin to this discussion, we'll really be firing on all cylinders.
Me, I don't think God chooses sides...
Only been married for a few years, but it has been great so far.
It is a shame how many people fail to honor their marriage commitment. What was the point of saying "I do" if really, you don't? Who are you trying to fool?
The God "bullocks" is very important in my marriage. But it doesn't have to be in everyones. It hasn't gone "out of fashion" here in the States. Most people incorporate their religious beliefs in their marriage ceremony.
Marriage just a piece of paper? No value to the promise behind it? No meaning or significance? I hear that way too often. Dumb. I guess man is just bone and sinew. Blood and guts. No value, no different than a cow. Lets all reduce things to their most simple level, that way we can honor or dispose of them according to our whims.
Whoops - the COUNTRY chooses the religion. Read it too fast.
Great post Posh - Just waiting for someone to blame the Bush Admin for the downfall of marriage as well.:) Seems like that's how all of the threads in the Off Topic forum are headed these days.
The "no marriage" site is built by a bunch of revengful, weak, and broken hearted men that cant grow up and get over a
breakup and move on. These men.... It's kinda hard to beleive that they're previous relationships didnt work...you know,
making claims and starting websites like this. I think they should grow up and get a life. I have had my heart broken
and my whole life torn away from me before. But what did I do? I said...holy ****! The sun is still shinning and it's
beautiful today! I started a new, bigger, better life and I am glad it all happened.
Love can be the most amazing thing ever and so can marriage. It all can be a complete nightmare. It all depends on
what you do with your past. Hold on to it or leave it behind.
Marriage is a an oath that sme people take, some not so seriously which is sad, that sais "You are my life partner and
nobody else. I want you to be the one by my side through everything because I unconditionally love you no matter
what."
If you dont feel you should take this personal oath then that is ok. Doesnt mean you wouldnt do the same. Marriage is a
physical and legal way of letting a person know that.
Plus you get to celebrate, eat cake, and get wasted. Then have some serious sex!!!
You sure are some irreverent mother***kers. You have to twist the knife when someone believes in God or doesn't spell it in writing to observe religious law. Joewatch - I'm sure you're a clever fellow and know why she spells it as such. Playing naive with this crowd isn't going to convince anyone. All in good fun, of course, but I shake my head whenever I watch you iconoclasts slip in your little anti-religious sarcasm (sigh).
My wife is frigging awesome. Anyone who can put up with me and my antics doesn't deserve to be married to me, but I'm grateful every day for the injustice. She stuck with me through some very bad times, which was proof positive that she's the real deal. I count my blessings every day and hope she doesn't come to her good senses and take off...
Of course, we could be just as happy together unmarried since we don't want children, but FWIW, marriage has been a great experience that I don't regret.
@Posh - comforting to know that Italians and Jews can get along so well....
^ I'm glad someone has a backbone around here. (No sarcasm)
I thank God almost every day for the wonderful wife He has provided me.
I also believe marriage is an important committment a "covenant" between a man and a woman.
Many people choose for God to be a part of it as my wife and I do.
