Ok maybe its not better. I was just locked out for 5 minutes.
I can click away to my hearts content in mobile...
click, click, click, click...
However, if I load up a different browser and try my default style, I click out after the 3.... AND my mobile browser times out as well.
I'll send you my dyndns host name, maybe you can whitelist it for me ;) Not sure if you can whitelist a host name though.
How do you switch back from mobile to default style?
RepGeek is back to normal for me today, pages opening fast and all working well. :D
It works for 5 min for me then down for 10 - 15 min.
It's grrrr. I cant wait till we are back 100%
Take ur time Sy... dont burn yourself out man.
Getting sick of this though. I am going back to RWG. I understand that the geek has put up some software defense that is limiting our clicks but if that is the case then they should be flagging friendly IP's as well so whe don't have to deal with this. I can assure you that there is no bot on my drive.
You'll be back when they go down ;)
We took a big hit and it cost allot to get where we are , you have no idea !!
I doubt that smaller forums without the cash would be back up as fast or up at all ?
So there are still some bugs to fix , they will eventually get ironed out !
still getting locked out after 3 clicks. :( hope us friendlies are identified soon and whitelisted so we can surf much faster through the other threads.
This is only happening from certain addresses. It happens to me as well too which makes it a bit more difficult to manage. Depending on where I log on from it works fine and from a different location it does not.
I was at the hospital all day yesterday due to a accident in the family. I will start working on it again today. It is not as simple as white flagging an address.
Dam ... sorry to hear that Sy :( .
It seems to be running okay for me since about maybe 9:00 AM today EST.
Yes, I think I got it now after doing some research last night.
PLease let me know via PM/email or post here if its still timing out.
Still get dropped after 2 or 3 clicks on Verizon and also on AT&T networks.
This is very frustrating when you want to purchase from RG vendors... I hope this gets fixed soon. I've had to go 'elsewhere' for my purchases.
I am also experiencing this "3 clicks and your done" syndrome.
It is frustrating as I don't have a problem with other sites doing this.
gnuse, try it again, made some more changes.
I am on cox.net and the longest I have made it so far before it stalls, was 5 clicks.
Just got through more than 3 clicks.....(maybe 9+) and it went smoothly.
Not sure if that is a good enough sample, but will keep trying.
In some ways I feel better knowing it was not unique to me.
No, its not unique to you. The ddos is still persistant so have to play arround with the http connections that do get through.
Comcast here also.
Seems to be OK now. :)
For whatever reason it suddenly seems to work much better for me. I must have had 20 or so clicks and no problem. :)
Thanks Sylar ....20/30 clicks without problems:)
and my best wishes for your family that was in the hospital yesterday:undecided:
friends..forgive my english:D
Working much better for me now too. Before couple clicks and I had to wait several minutes before trying again. Good work!
Yep... I have been surfing for the past 15 minutes without a problem. Thanks!!
I have had the same problem. I have used my third click to get to the reply box. If it's help to the tech wizards, I am using Firefox on a Mac. Basically after a few clicks no more links will load. Even if I quite Firefox and open it again RG doesn't work for me the same day.

Mended try IE to see if the same thing happens. I dont know of it being browser specific but woth a shot.
Interesting.. I seem to be working okay in Opera with my favorite Anniversary skin, but I went to my User CP and found that all the threads I comment in are listed as subscribed to.... furthermore, I cannot unsubscribe.
seems to be much better now. yay! i can get past 4 clicks already although i'm careful to open different threads in multiple tabs on IE.
Thanks sylar! will keep you posted if I get locked out again.
Seems to be working well for me now. Thanks for all your persistent work on this Sylar.
Let me know how it goes in different browsers. I thought the http requests were the same in all but we shall find out.
Great job Sy , smooth sailing all day here ! :applause:
