Hello !
When did I discover RepGeek? Has it only been a month?
In said month, I have greatly enjoyed wasting (jk) untold hours perusing the forums; comments, advice, info, etc., etc. . . It is what I have learned in this short time; practical, technical, and philosophical, that makes me now wish to say to all out there . . Thank You !!
I am quite happy to be here, and I hope to eventually be able to make a few worthy contributions to the site in one way or another . . . I have acquired a decent set of tools, and I am now getting into the belly of the beast . . so exciting!
Just starting out ~
Gens:
Concord Impresario Chronograph s/s
IWC Portofino s/s w/arabic
Swiss Army Officer's s/s & gold
Swiss Army Original w/nato
Tissot something or other
Reps:
Omega Seamaster Pro Chrono
Rolex GMT Master II black/red
Rolex GMT Master II Pro-Hunter w/nato
Want: More . . .
a Radiomir or two, Royal Oak Offshore, a couple more Omegas, a Vacheron or two, A Seagull 1963 Air force, a Casio Pathfinder, and some vintage stuff, etc., etc. . . the Panerai is next. in fact, I now regret the GMT Master purchase. It's a 2009 model; it's nice an' all, but I shoulda got the Rad ~

I'm a newbie and have been sponge like in aborbing all the great info on this site - big round of applause to all involved:applause:
I was considering spending way to much on one of the scammers watches but kept on smelling a rat and couldn't commit - figured the web reviews could have been created by the scamers themselves, THEN I DISCOVERED REPGEEK and read the name of all of sites I was considering purchasing from on the "Scammers Website List" in RG.
So steered in the right direction by RG I am now the proud owner of the latest version of the Omega SMP chrono with the 7750 movement and the word "Seamaster" in red under the omega logo on the face.
What a great rep, I couldn't be happier! I noticed some RG posts saying the bezel was a little misaligned and how to fix it. So on receipt of mine I gave it the 1000 angle check and I'm pleased to say it is a perfect alignment.
Accordingly I'm now tragically hooked & I am about to commence down that well troden path of seeking to find the perfect submariner. I like the 50th Anniversary version (green bezel) and also have seen a silver gen with blue face & bezel but I can't find a rep - any suggestions.
BTY I'm from the land down under
Hi fellow Watch lovers, this is a great site and I look forward to some good advice as well as some Rep purchases, as a newbie I could use some help in locating good people to service, repair or mod my collection, Any advice from you Old Pro's would be welcome, my favourite brand is Panerai but I also dig U Boat, Anonimo, Admars Piguet, Bell and Ross as well as others I just can't get my head around how much the Gen's cost! I like a big watch, 45mm up, my favourite size at the mom is 47mm. It seems to me that the Rep manufacturer's have come a long way in quality and QC, service and warranties, any opinions on that? I would like some referrals to the best Rep dealers for Pam's particularly, I would prefer Swiss movements if poss. but Asian is OK as long as they are quality and will last, also a warranty is very important to me.
I could not see what the big deal with Pam's was untill I tried on a gen Pam 127 1950 after that it was all over, so here I am, wishing you guy's All the Best,
Mike.
Welcome Mike - make yourself at home and join the fun!

It is so great to be here. I am getting up to speed for now.
I hope I'm in the right forum, but thanks to this site I didn't buy from Bluefakes. Their 5y guarantee on the watches almost got me, so now I'm reading and learning on RG. I am a lady, so any help on ladies watches would be great.
