"Cogito, ergo Repgeek" is latin for "I think, therefore RepGeek" and is a play on Descartes "Cogito, ergo sum". I think, therefore I am. But you guys already knew that right?
Someone else here has "Cogito ergo coitus" :D :D :D
Dimer is my name :)
I love diving and record my "maxdepth" after every dive I do.
Since the aim is generally not to go as deep as you can but to maximise the time you spend down there (bottom time), I considered being "MaxBottomtime", but it sounded a bit..... gay :D
Derwinddreht - Der Wind dreht - means - the wind turn around - change the direction - and comes from Mary Poppins - every time the wind turns she leave her "family" and every time i saw this movie i must cry - until today - no just kidding -

Mudcat was my fathers CB handle back in the 70's. He wasn't a trucker, but for some reason, CB radio was cool.
Mudcat is a old southern term for "catfish" - if you don't know what a catfish is...then you're a yankee
I fly Pilatus PC-12's. . .not very original.:dontknow:
Back before we had kids I used to volunteer with American Eskimo rescue and nickname was Eskielvr as in American Eskimo lover as in I'm fond of American Eskimos. Now we end up with just about any breed of dog that comes along but eskielvr has been easy nickname to remember.
The_Monkey is a shortened version of The_English_Speaking_Monkey because I ran into a character limit. I got the long nickname at my first IT job because I'm good at writing what we called english speaking monkey scripts, basically just a set of instructions that are so simple a monkey could follow them.
Mine's from the lead character in a series of books by Lawrence Sanders.

I used to study military history quite a bit, and the Napoleonic wars in particular. Napoleon used to refer to one of his Marshals (Louis-Nicholas Davout) as his Iron Marshal.
Being in the military (Marines) for 20 +, the wives were always commenting about Marines and that we are allways sterotyped as "MANLY". Well, during one of our rompin' stompin' platoon get-togethers, one of the wives called me "Martymuffin".
What could I do? So the nickname stuck when off duty, and it's funny to see expressions on a person's face when they actually see who Martymuffin is.
So it stuck in my head to use the name as an internet callsign and then it spilled over to the rest of my civilian email accounts.
People see "Martymuffin" and probably think derogatory, sexist or ****phobic thoughts about a creepy, skinny little sex offender, but alas, I'm far from it.
I'm not creepy. LoL.
Seriously, I have been looking to change the callsign, but nothing has really rung true. Wife and I have had great talent in naming our pets due to their behaviors, and when other folks see the pets, they realize where the name came from. But I still havent figured out something more fitting, so I have stuck with martymuffin for quite a while.
Mitton = Middle, neither end of any extreme.
Grimlock, Yah Transformers...... But I guess you smart guys already find that out.....duhhuhh:D
It started with DC++ (filesharing). My m8 was the fabulous Optimus who wrote tools for this (Robocop if you wanna know). We were admins of many forums. He was the great Optimus (the brains) And I the power.....ME GRIMLOCK...... (the power to hold bad-asses out of the forums)
but all my friends can call me Grimmy..... that sounds less agressive...
I'm really a nice guy you know
Osirion means tomb of osiris 666? well put it this was sterotyped as a goth in my younger days - osirion also baing a french black metal band which i like- found this out when i googled the name i thought i made up lol(thats when i found out about the tomb of osiris)
Back in college my next door neighbor says, "I used to know a Brandon - we called him Smitty." My roomate looks at me and goes, "What's up Smitty?" It stuck. Since Smitty is so common I added some random nums on the back of it.
