Anyone know if its easy to buy reps and other fake stuff
In japan in going to Tokyo next week for 10 days

Japan and Tokyo are not well known as a place to purchase rep watches and fake goods.

They're not known for replicas over there. But they are famous for their second hand stores. You can find used stuff in very good condition for rock bottom prices. Japanese are known to take care of their stuff. They are also notorious for throwing stuff away for a small issue. Real story, a colleague of mine trained in Japan for a week. During that time he bought a stereo system, with dual cassette players, multi-CD/DVD dolly. Cost him around $600 I think. Then he returned after 6 months for another trip and during one of his night strolls, he brought home an identical stereo system he found at a trash area to the dorm. He was thinking he could salvage it for spare parts for the one he bought. But he thought to test it, why not, no harm in trying. To his surprise, everything was working perfectly, except for one of the casette players. The rewind button would not work. That's it. Nothing else was malfunctioning. Heard he sold that one for $400, down from $600 because of the rewind button issue. So his $600 purchase became a $200 one. Smart guy.

Yeah, throwback (and throwaway) tech. Mechanical buttons are the first to go in terms of reliability. In the men's dorm where we stayed during a lengthy training trip, we found a lot of, um, Japanese tapes. And one of those was not particularly pleasing to watch (cringe worthy in fact). And one of the stupid guys in my group thought it would be okay to lend it to our female trainees who stayed in a separate dormitory. Fortunately, as the VHS player (I don't think it was Betamax Hahaha) in their room had a broken rewind button and we had forwarded the tape almost to the end (because we thought the theme was only a part, turns out it was the whole tape), they were only able to see less than a minute of it. But it was enough to turn the stomachs of some of them. There were no further incidents of sharing stuff from the boys dorm to the girls after that.

Like mentioned above, Japan isn’t the right place to buy replicas. Maybe decades ago, but now? They’re one of the richest countries out there, they’ve got high HDI and GDP per capita, you can find some fine gens out there, reps - not so much.

Maybe post WWII, Japanese industry restarted by copying from brands coming fro other countries, then improved upon the quality. They built up that reputation that after a few decades, the label "Made in Japan" became synonymous with quality. But I don't think they ever got into copying luxury watches though. They do make bulletproof timepieces like Seiko and Casio (G-Shock represent!).

I go there often for work,you won't find copies ...you could try looking in Shibuya anyway in some of the small quirky shops
FOr second hand Kōenji and Ura-Hara

Just got back it was amazing but really expensive
Didnt see any copys out there alot of trift shops do
But with insane prices
