Dreaded database error on PC. iPhone fine

Getting the database error on my work pc bad today. Cannot even log in. (it normally works fine on my office pc). But iPhone gets in fine. Not sure why but maybe this may help with diagnosis.

Definitely go with checking the "remember me" box. I got that advise from avenger007, and it worked. I have IE8

Not sure if anyone else is still getting database errors but last few days I've been getting dumped out with that message 'Database Error..the administrators of the site are aware of this problem etc' I am on Win7 and IE8 also get it on Google Chrome.....if I leave it for half hour I can get back in...weird!

We're working on the database, its happening more often because tables are being rebuilt on the fly. Since the downtime could be huge we opted to do this with the forum live so you'll experience some problems along the way.
I've been having these errors too, usually its a matter of reloading the main page and it sorts itself out, although sometimes it takes a few times to sort it.
I understand your frustration but as with many things its likely to get worst before it gets better, the important thing though is that we have a experienced geek working on the forum issues at the moment and he's giving it his best to sort out the forum problems.
