Default Hello from Auckland, New Zealand

    Hi guys,

I have spent a few hours reading through your excellent guides after being misled by watchreport.co, he recommends perfect watches whom I now know are generally rip off artists.

I am after a Submariner Ceramic and so far it seems like all thumbs up point to Noob and pure-time. I am doing some shopping now, any recommendations as to which is the best movement would be greatly appreciated!

Also are there any tricks to getting the item into N.Z. without being confiscated or will the dealer know the loop holes already.

Any fellow kiwis please chime in if you have any advice or know of anywhere local to have reps serviced/modded.

    Matt

Don't worry about customs, in NZ is not illegal to own or even buy replica or fake products. so they don't care. Never had any kind of problems getting them delivered to Auckland. Never had any kind of indication that they even inspect them all that thoroughly. I'm guessing if dogs and x-ray machines don't flag them for drugs or god forbid an apple, they are not too bothered.

    welcome to RG!

I am in Auckland for a weekend... what do you recommend for dinner (=steak) and must-does?

    Thanks,

Great!. catch a ferry to Waiheke island (only 45min boat ride from central auckland harbour), make a booking to one of the vineyard (http://www.stonyridge.co.nz) where you can taste premium organic wine and dinner at the same time. ..all day long :-D

Oh, you need to arrange transport to & from Vineyard beforehand as Auckland is notorious for the lack of readily available public transport. The vineyard may have their own transport for their customers.

    Ferry time table: http://www.fullers.co.nz

Check this place out for your lunch http://www.odettes.co.nz/

The Grill by Sean Connolly is a good place for steak and located right in the center of city. Look up skycity.co.nz and make a reservation online. ;-) Try Sunday roast (slow roast rib of beef off the bone, béarnaise sauce, red wine jus & yorkshire pudding

    G'Day Matt,

My preference is for the A2824 or 2836 (basically the same movement) which are an often supplied movements in Subs. Most of my watches have these movements and I've had no trouble with them.

Any of the TD's can supply them.

I did some gigs in Auckland in the late 80's as well as Papikura and remember there were some wild people around in those days.

Welcome! I lived in Auckland for some months this year and I ordered one watch through watch station and some other replica stuff via AliExpress. Everything went smooth, so no need to worry about NZ customs. Looks like everything goes through without any problems

    Hi Matt,
As long as parcel doesn't contain biological specimen, chemical, nuclear, type of weapons or any treaty protected goods, parcels usually pass without problem.

NZ has toughest border control in the world, they will find 2mm spiders if they are exotic, and confiscate, eradicate it.

However, if it is illegal just because it makes international mega rich companies mad, NZ government give middle fingers as it has nothing to do with protecting nature, well being of citizens or future of man kind.

I've once got delivered 6 rep watches at once. Arrived at my desk safely. ;-)

Welcome. It will be hard to find watch smith to service reps in AUS/NZ. Your best bet is find modder at Taiwan.

Thanks, I found intime who I think will be getting my first purchase due to great feedback, another point though, is there a TD thread somewhere of all the current TD's and their websites? I searched but couldn't find anything like that.
