Most of the e-mail notifications are innactive by default, you'll need to select that you want those notifications in order to receive them. I don't know if there's a particular problem with your own domain name in receiving the e-mail from repgeek but it seems that is not a problem on the software here and more of some sort of filter or configuration on your mail server.
I've mine active and they work on live and gmail and never had a problem. The fact that you've changed it to a gmail account and received them leads me to beleive the problem lies on your host server mail configuration rather than on RG.
