I have always been a bit of a tinkerer. I've delved into mostly electrical engineering. Mechanicals have been my most recent passion. This is a very rare area where machining and precision is looked at to a higher level. I look forward to learning from you all.

Welcome aboard, Shu. You've come to a great site and - if tinkering is your thing - then you've come to the right place. Certainly a lot of tinkerers here... from the Picasso-types to, well, those with the skillset of myself (one notch above a recently deceased monkey).

You'll find a lot of great information here and, perhaps soon, you'll be machining parts and pieces and making beautiful pieces and contributions to the community.

Thank you sir! Watches are a whole new challenge. I've been using my standard laptop tool roll I've been using for years, but I need more. It felt like I just got laid when I pulled a 21J Chinese movement, dissected it and put it back together fully functional.

Thank you as well. I am more interested with the craft than the label. You cant just go up to the Omega factory and say, "hey let me observe you machining this base"
