I'm divided about this. It's a fast way to show the poster you appreciated the post. But I'm not sure I like the layout of this feature from what I have seen on other forums.
on the other hand it would avoid many posts jut saying "thank you!"
What's better? I don't miss such button and would leave as is. We're not facebook.....
The ratings '+ve' or '-ve' buttons on forums I have seen often get removed due to abuse, and while in essence are a good idea in practise are a PITA
