Default Crap replica from exactwatches - need to be fixed

    Hi,

I am a real newbie when it comes to Replicas. For some months ago I ordered my first replica (before I found this forum).

    I ordered this watch - http://www.exactwatches.com/Longitud...her-Strap.html

A Breitling Longitude Chronograph for 125$. Didn't know much about watches at that time, but believed that the watch looked cool. Later realised that the watch was crap and the chrono was non-working (well not exactwatches fault - it's kinda clearly stated in the description), anyway after 4 weeks the hour indicator was off synch. For example when the time was 18:00; the hour indicater was between 17:00 and 18:00. This makes it quite difficult to read the correct time.

I contacted exactwatches and was quite surprised that they replied to me the next day and wanted me to send a picture of the watch to easier describe the problem. I did this immediately and now I am awaiting an answer on the next step. This was saturday 10/5.

Hopefully they will come with a solution.. on the otherhand I have read other threads in this forum where the problem of sending watches back and forward will end up quite expensive and time consuming.

I am aware the exactwatches is on the scam dealer list. But it would be interesting to hear if anyone else have any expericence from them when it comes to customer service....

I will keep you posted on the progress of this issue.

There ARE some things Rex can't fix (believe it or not ) . I believe non working chronos when they are designed that way, is one of them .

Welcome. Better luck with your next one .

Thanks for all the advice. Actually today I received an answer from exactwatches. They offered me two alternatives. Either I send the watch to them and they will repair it for free, altough I need to pay for the shipment. OR they will send me a new one free if I order another watch from them. What would you do?

Well, do you REALLY REALLY have your eye on another piece, or would you just be gettingi it to even out the order? I say, if you don't really want it, just send the original back for repair. No need throwing good money after bad .

You have only the cost of shipping to return it for repair (assuming they even send your watch back to you). If you buy another one from them, you'll be overpaying for another el-cheapo watch. If you choose to buy another one from them, get a simple 21J model--no more faux chronos.
Sue Lor: All the people in this house are very traditional. Number one: never touch a Hmong person on the head. Not even a child. The Hmong people believe that the soul resides on the head, so don't do that.
Walt Kowalski: Well... Sounds dumb, but fine.
Sue Lor: Yeah, and a lot of Hmong people consider looking someone in the eye to be very rude! That's why they look away when you look at them.
    Walt Kowalski: Yeah. Anything else?
Sue Lor: Yeah... some Hmong people tend to smile or grin, when they're yelled at. It's a cultural thing, it expresses embarrassment or insecurity. It's not that they're laughing at you or anything.
Walt Kowalski: Right, you people are nuts.
