    Default Bonjour, from France

    Hi everyone,

I've been reading this forum for almost 2 years, and just decided it is time to be more active

It's great to have a place like this to gather informations and look at purchases from people sharing the same tastes

I bought a Rolex GMT batman from trusty-time a year ago and I've been really disapointed, the white paint on the numbers is coming off, the winding doesn't work.... Although my friend bought the same a few months after and it is flawless ! So I'm looking for the substitute now.

See you guys on the forum

Sorry to hear that you're having problems with your rep - unfortunately, such is the game. Sometimes you get a nice example which will serve you through many years with absolutely no problems, other times your watch arrives DOA or develops multiple problems over, unfortunately often short, time.

But overall, i'd say that this is a very fun and rewarding hobby, despite all the cons.

Forgot to mention in my earlier post to you that patient is virtue for the rep watch hobby.

Yes, i'd say patience is necessary in this hobby. Shipping takes time, so does servicing. Sometimes you have to wait several months for your watch to come back from your modder of choice, other times your TD demands to ship the defective watch back, which also equals a long wait.
