A proposal to give income to the forum
Hobbyists modders, when selling their watches, often can be found in a gray area in danger of violating the forum rules.
Maybe we could find a solution that allows modders to sell without problems and allow the forum to gain and have revenue for the maintenance:
- The modders could pay a dedicated annual subscription (maybe $50) and pay a mandatory percentage (perhaps 5%) on the price of sale in RWI for every transaction.
- If the mod's subscription has expired, the modders cannot sell.
- There may be a limit sales to not hamper SVs, maybe a watch per month for up to 12 watches per year.
- Maybe even a limit of maximum price ($ 500) to discourage excessive speculation, also considering a regulation for Frankens.
So modders could sell their creations without potentially breaking any rule and Repgeek might have a good income every month.

so are we talking a bribe for immunity or carte blanche to rip noobs off
IE Bozz buys 2 watches, mixes the parts up and is left with 2 watches
Bozz then polishes the one with the perceived best parts and sells it for the price the 2 watches cost
Bozz now has a free watch and no one can tell him how wrong he is
Bozz can do this twelve times a year with immunity because hes bribed the forum on average $31
every time he does this
is that what you mean Bozz
Just cos its a theme tune dont mean its not true

I propose you get vetted and pay whatever the going price is to post your items to the Watch Mods section. What, after all, is an issue with that?

Sorry Bozz, the idea you propose is totally impractical. Ain't gonna happen. The time it would take to monitor it is beyond our resources. And it is naive to assume all would comply with what you suggest
We already have a system in place. It is not perfect but it is also not complicated.

And we are done
Thanks from the administration for the suggestion but as stated...it's not a practical solution.
