Hey - just saw this. That's a pretty nifty bit of automation on the registration process.

I'm not a newbie to the internet forum at all - just to the replica watch sites. I'm a trumpet player, drummer, and home brewer, so I've spent my fair share of time on internet forums, but this is a foray in another direction. I have an account on Watch-U-Seek, but since I'm not made of money, yet I fancy the look of a quality watch on my wrist, I decided to delve into the world of replica watches to try to scratch that itch and not spend the kind of money it would take to get me into the kind of watches I'd like to wear.

Most of my daily wear watches are pretty basic - I've got a couple of solid offerings from Citizen, a 25 year old Seiko I got as an anniversary gift on my first anniversary, and an Invicta 9937 Pro Diver - the Submariner homage watch with the Sellita SW200 (Eta 2824 clone) movement that I received as a gift 8 years ago.

The Invicta is really what started this. It's still running like a gem and still looks great, but I would like to wear something that looks a bit more authentic that would pass a bit closer scrutiny rather than to have someone see it and say, "Oh/ewww - it's an Invicta!?"

Rep watches I intend to obtain over the next couple of years:

  • Rolex Subs - probably more than one. The hulk watch (I just learned what "hulk" means) is pretty cool, although I like the looks of the plain black Sub/Date.
  • Omega Seamasters - also very cool watches, and IMO maybe better than the Rolex. People see a Rolex sub, and anyone who knows watches immediately wonders whether or not it's a replica.
  • Tag Heuer Carrera - LOVE the look of the Carrera. I have the Citizen Eco-Drive perpetual Chrono in stainless, and it captures the Carrera vibe pretty well, and all things considered is vastly superior as an actual functional timepiece due to the eco-drive quartz movement, the atomic timekeeping, and the extended functionality that mechanical watches simply do not have. All the same, I'd love to put a quality Tag Heuer Carrera replica on my wrist.
  • Omega Speedmaster - these seem a bit harder to come by. While it appears that there are more Rolex Sub replicas than you can shake a stick at, Speedy replicas are a bit harder to come by.

That's the start of the list anyway - the first goal is to get a really solid ceramic sub replica, and I'll branch out from there.

I'm looking forward to reading and learning more!
