Default Hi My Name is hanski...

Hi! I’m fairly new to the Rep world but I’ve been working on some project recently - mostly interacting at a couple of the other forums.
Feel free to spy on my profile/posts if you like:
Sorry, you do not have permission for that!

Thought I would come over here to join in on the conversation and hopefully learn from you all.
Here my most recent work on my 1680 Red.
    Cheers!

Welcome to the forum. That date looks way off, but there is plenty of advice here that will help you correct it.
You say 'recent work', did you put that together yourself?

Yes I did all the work myself, this one started its life as a JK Factory. The specs are now:
    - JKF case and case back (reshaped CG’s, drilled lugs, reshaped case, sanded/aged and repolished)
    - Athaya Tube and Crown (case countersink to allow crown to sit flush)
    - Clark’s Crystal (friction fit and compressed seal by retaining ring)
    - WSO Bezel Assembly (Insert matted and very lightly bleached - it looks like a service insert so I wanted it to look the part of a recent replacement - and bezel sanded and repolished)
    - Pip by me (small ball of lume to match hands and dial with a drop of epoxy 330 for acrylic dome)
    - SW200-1 installed (hour, minute, and sweep cannons and wheels swapped out for the next height up, date dial from ETA 2836-3 installed, and custom dial spacer - all done to compensate for the height difference between an A2836 and a SW200-1. Stem aligns now)
    - Raffles DWO (these pics are from when it was a stock Cartel DWO. Raffles is only incrementally better. I’m trying to get my hands on a PolexPete or similarly good DWO that will align with the VN dial)
    - Vietnam Dial (dial feet clipped and resoddered for an SW200-1 position, OD shaved to fit case, relumed)
    - Ofrei hand set (relumed)

If you have any thoughts on where to source annice DWO that will better align to a VN DW window, please share, it’s greatly appreciated!

Pip and lume shot didn’t upload on my last go around:

PS. I know these pics make the DWO look like it’s centered on nothing and maybe even covered by the dial - it’s not. The DWO is left justified with only a sliver of white. Frustrating, yes. Way off, well, it’s as centered as the dial and DWO allow. Would like to get a better matched DWO to Vietnam spec dials. Until then, it works.
