Default Got a Junker - New Member

    Hello,
My recent purchase with ytime / Highend Replica has led me to research this hobby more. I have made the "gas station" Daytona purchase in the past, but I knew what I was getting.

I recently wanted to get more into the hobby. I wanted to get the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra GMT Rose Gold / Brown Face / 43mm case. Well, after $350 I received a watch; however, it was 38mm and the movement was not even close to the pictured movement. I tried to get a replacement or refund to no avail...I am pondering a fraud investigation now.

Anyway, this experience led me to this forum and others. I am glad there is a good group of folks to support and help in this hobby.
    Thanks,
    lytnin

Hi lytnin, welcome to the forum from another newcomer here.

I'm not sure who you'd get to represent you in a fraud investigation into the mis-selling of an illegally produced fake watch you bought. But maybe there's someone in the community here with more experience who could offer you advice on your best course of action.

Good luck but beware - it's an addictive hobby (he says, having bought 13 watches in the last 6 weeks or so...)!

Welcome to RG. I'm assuming your Seamaster was not purchased from a TD.
As n0bby points out, it's probably a hiding to nothing to attempt any action against the seller. You will have to put it down to experience and become a wiser person when you make your next purchase. If you paid by CC, you may have a chance to get a chargeback. Bad luck my friend.

Welcome abaord...lol, "I am pondering a fraud investigation now."....you bought illegal products and want to start a fraud investigation...No chance m8, better leave it alone.
Just buy from the TD's here or M2M from trusted members. But maybe they don't want to sell to you because of your remark:I am pondering a fraud investigation now.

I agree on the fraud statement...I have moved on and working with a TD on the new Blue Dial Daytona and an Omega 600m Seamaster Chronograph.

How would someone start a paypal dispute if the aforementioned statements about fraud is not a good idea?
