Hi, I have been browsing many of the replica sales websites on the internet over the past two or so years, but I never committed myself into actually buying one, as I have heard that most if not all of them are scam sites.

Anyway, I ended up finding this forum during one of my google searches and I have gleaned some info to finally make my first purchase from a site called 80108. I hope to report back soon to you guys with my new watch.

Wow, I never expected to meet any Australians here, let alone people from Perth here.

I bought item code RLSS10009, as it was one of the cheapest watches available, plus it had free shipping. I figure I may as well test it out, and buy more expensive versions in future.

There are other dealers?

Cool... I'm not a Rolex guy but if you've never handled a replica and and used to gens like I was before I found this place, you'll probably be quite astonished by the quality of some of them!

I don't prefer Rolex really, its just that my father owns a real Rolex and I would like to compare the differences between them. I wonder if it could pass for the real thing to the average person based on appearance alone.

I think most will agree that the "average" person would be EASILY fooled by a quality replica, in fact only a very select few (dealers, watch experts and geeks like us) would be likely to ever pick up on the minute differences.

Get the same watch your dad has, swap it without him knowing, and see if he notices!

What is a good replica anyway? Based on the pictures alone, I cannot see any difference between RLSS10009 and RLSS10001 which is $100 more expensive. Although the detailed description says otherwise.

What price range would I be expected to pay for a good replica?

Only difference is the movement probably.

A lot of replicas have a "cheap" version with 21J Asian movement and sometimes plain glass instead of sapphire, usually for not much more than $100. Often these are the only differences, the other parts are all identical.

Personally, I now only buy watches with scratchproof sapphire. The movement I don't really care, some of my smoothest winding watches have had the "cheap" 21J asian movement in them. Remember this is the same movement used in plenty of non-replica asian watches, they are reliable workhorses!

$300 is about my limit for a rep, and usually more like $250. You know there is a sales forum here too right?

I can understand your hesitation but it wont be long until you realise you have hit the jackpot with this bunch of 'geeks'.

My first visit was through another of our dealers sites, trustytime. (Josh's partner in crime).

Again, welcome.. make sure you read ALOT and then ask questions. Just make sure you read alot first.
