"This is good... isn't it?"
Welcome Mike, you're right this is a fun site!
So if you are in the US. Is it "better"/"safer" to order from a dealer/fellow member in the US?
I have made a purchase from Sead on Friday and another from Sylar.
The other question I really have which I am sure has be answered a million times is is it worth the extra money to get an ETA movement or is the Asian movement just as dependable. ( I'm sure I will get a ton of Ford Vs Chevy answers here ... )
Thanks and I am glad to be part of your community!
Eh brah! My collection of over 100 pieces are mostly Asian 21J movements. Some are over 7 years old and none of them have given me any troubles. I guess I prefer the asian ones right now due to price and reliability. I am not that much into 1 to 1 reps vs gens as others here are. It all depends on what you are looking for and how much you want to spend.
Mahalo nui loa!
Welcome Mgoony, we love watches and not just brands.
Hope you find the information here useful.
