Editing title bar in sales threads??

This question is for one of the Mods or Admins here please. I was wondering why it's not possible to edit the title bar in your sales threads to be able to notify prospective buyers of a change in status of the item? If I reduce the asking price or include some new information or add something to the sale, a strap etc. I should be able to put that in the title so members know the price has been reduced, or something about the sale has changed. Some members may look at the sales post once and think the price is to high, and my not look again, even after you reduce the price because they don't know it's been reduced. Is this something that can be done for the OP's of sales post?? Inquiring minds want to know???

+1 on that!

BUT - my guess is either its a limitation of the message board software or its a decision to prevent people from radically changing the title. It would be even cooler if there was a custom column added called "Sales Status" with the options being:

AVAILABLE
PENDING
SOLD
REDUCED

Now " that's what I'm talking about"

I don't know what is possible with the board software, or why it is currently limited ... but it is like that in all sections. No title modding.

You guys can always PM me and I or one of the other mods can change it for you

. Not the most efficient I know, but it is all I have to offer up here now.

whilst on this subject,
have any of the mods noticed that after changing a thread title, it will change back,
i think it is an indexing situation

yeah.. i always just pm QB or Nembo to change the title

It only does that if you try to change it yourself.

The title while VIEWING THE THREAD will change, but it's outward appearance in the sub-fora will not.
