Do you REALLY want to spend $5,000 on a f*cking wind up WATCH?! (I'm talking to you, idiot Paneristi!)

Welcome back Posh. If you are really writing for a living, I would recommend spending some time at this site.

Well. Well. Well. The cgs is back. I personally enjoyed the read and the review of the Hermes. Learning of other replicas is the reason I log into RG so often. So screw the bashers.

Regarding the LV tho': Don't you find the light beige leather straps too obvious a tell? I bought my wife two bags (I reviewed onehere) and frankly after seeing the honey colored straps of the genuine - she rarely uses them. I will be staining the straps for her to help her get the look she wants.

Posh, great reviews. Great engaging writing. This is the second time that I have been compelled to purchase a watch that you reviewed (the last being the Chopard).

    Must resist.

Like one of the other posters here, I am interested in the watches out of the norm.

    Much appreciated.

Thanks, Crack. I'm really glad you enjoyed the post. I'm sorry for many of the typos and things in it. I will fix them this evening. I was in a rush to ensure it was published on Friday so I sped a bit through it. I will be expanding it, revising it and fixing some mistakes.

Oh, and thanks for the advice on cell phones in my other post. My father used your advice to get a new Blackberry Storm.

The pleasure is completely mine, Kent. The Hermes replica really is astonishing in its adherence to faithfully recreating the enormous amount of detail in the genuine Clipper Chrono Maxi. I was amazed that it had even been attempted. But these counterfeiters are ingenious and brazen and there seems to be nothing they can't eventually replicate. I am awaiting the Vacheron Constantin Ille to be made. 1:1, of course.

Also, please know that this watch will accept genuine bracelets so you can get the stainless steel 'H' bracelet or the rubber coated one so you can change the look.

The Good Chip Lollipop! Thanks, babe! Um, as far as the vachetta straps on replicas go, they are now, in the higher quality replicas, almost identical to the original and so that whitish, natural color turns a golden color slowly over time with use. Exposure to sun, air and the oils from the hands gives the straps a rich amber patina over time that almost all hardcore Vuitton-istas strive for, especially in Japan. While here in America it is typically preferred by some to try to keep the vachetta looking as light as possible for as long as possible, most owners, like those in Japan and most of Asia, wouldn't dream of carrying a new bag before several months to a year has passed. That's usually how long it takes for an undisturbed bag to oxidize to a faint tan from the almost whiteness of new vachetta.

In Japan, a woman or man seen carrying a bag that has not turned at least a soft tan is thought to be as gauche as a person having red wine with fish; that person is viewed as new to Vuitton and not a true "collector," meaning poor essentially. Status is important to people and Japan and higher status means more respect. And in a world where respect is not guaranteed, these small symbols instantaneously offer social acceptance and, by exstention, self-worth. That's hard work for a purse, battle satchel or travel bag!

    Oh, and poker is ON.

Thanks for the excellent comparisons and the insight to the bag.
And welcome back and keep up the good work: LOVE IT!
Thank, JN. It's not perfect but I'll be sure to punch it up for you by Monday. If my pilates class allows!

By the way, that sounds like a great slogan for a bag site with in-depth analysis of the bag, creator, philosophy of the bag, functions and style. "Insight to the bag." Hmmmm . . . Insight: The Bag. Get it? 'Inside the bag' and 'insight (into) the bag?' Metaphorically, figuratively and literally. Cosmically, this works.

I want to thank you so much for taking time out of listening to your own arteries harden and feeling your prostate shrivel up to clack out ahelpful hint with those arthritic talons of yours. It's good to see that your days aren't spent simply sloshing down coffee and cruellers at the local Dunkin' Donuts wondering what happned to the good ol' days when women knew their place, minorities were actually just that and missionary sex was considered "exotic."

    I missed you.

Having been up close and personal with both, I can say it t has a Flat 6 aura about it but the similarities end at case shape, really.
They are both sport watches but one has the pedal to the metal and the other is just touring. They should both be in every replica collection worth its salt.

    Welcome back sister,

    Dan

Dan, she can carry this bag with complete confidence. I did not mention the Sofia Coppola pochette in this, which is a companion bag to this one, but replicas of it are terrible and I cannot recommend them even though the size is perfect for evening and fits into this bag so it can go straight to day into the evening. Please let her know for me. Thanks!

Wow. The post was incredible (of course), but then I started reading some of the comments and nearly broke my glass desk.

(*RANT ON*) The way that the internet protects the identity of some people, so they feel they can be a true dick and just say whatever the **** they please. Because really, no one cares about other people anymore. No one is human. That car in front of you is in your way. Ram it off the road. Why should you care?

Then I read Posh's reply, and I rememeber why she is so powerful, both with her posts and in real life. She doesn't get angry, she gets EVEN. And she's VERY VERY good at it. Or else she finds you a crack smoking, **** biting ****tard and simply ignores you. Either way, I'm impressed. Because my hackles went up at some of the drivel and bull**** I saw posted. (*RANT OFF*)

As for the woman, I have no idea how hot she truely is. Never seen her picture. I have no idea how much money she has. It's none of my F'n business. I didn't know what she drove (till now), how many vacations she takes a year, or whether she'd approve of my day-to-day fashion sense (solid with basic brands, IMHO).

What I do know is I find her writing facinating. Her posts teach me something new EVERY time I read one. And her choice of watches, while usually not mainstream, are usually neat pieces that I wonder how I never noticed before. In short, she's an amazing individual I'm lucky to have gotten to know a little bit.

Keep up the great work babe. And it's wonderful to have you back.

Thank you, M. That's the point usually, to help others discover something different and learn something in the process. Like I said before, even though I know a lot about many of the topics I write about or items I review, I always find out something new, either from research or comments made by readers, so the process is enlightening all the way around. I wouldn't do it otherwise.

    Your support is always appreciated.

    As always Posh.

    Keep them coming!
Some people are like slinkies... not really good for anything, but both bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs...

    Enjoyed the seamless Evita reference.

Caught your post about the Floto briefcases on the bay - really nice stuff there.

    Posh, welcome back... I think...

Seriously, we need more of your type around here. i.e. little cross-dressing dudes who lives in Moma's basement and play hot women in their online personas.

Just kidding... honestly, keep up the substantive and amusing posts.
