Hello all!

I'm Chris, and I'm addicted to watches.

The words "Zenith", "El Primero", "Audemars Piguet", "Perpetual Calender", "Minute Repeater"..........................and pretty much anything remotely haute horological pretty much start the reemergence of my craving of all things watches.

I'm a bit of a Zenith and AP fanatic, and I'm working on a VCO at the moment. It's been disassembled, and will be DLC coated in the future, only after attaining a gen dial and hands (anyone got a handle on that?), since the rep dial (and it's horrid lume job) suck.

I typically use parenthesis a lot, and am known to use several military references in my writings. I hope to enjoy the site!

Not a lot of good Zenith reps out there right now but plenty of AP. As I am sure you already know, andthing with a fancy movement is probably going to be questionalbly repped :p ... but we keep trying.

Oh, believe me when I say "I know."
I'm thinking, however, with the amount of advancements the rep community has seen, a fully functional El Primero copy should come out in about 5-10 years, if they can ever figure out the bugs in their own 7750s.

But what I'd REALLY like to see is after Concord fully realizes it's quantum watch concept and revolutionizes the watch industry, the rep world making all our watches quasi-quantum wrist computers (with probability altering complications!). I can only dream.

ANYWAYS...yeah, the only "good" ones out nowadays are the new 28.8k DX Chronographs and the ol' seagull wound-powered chronomaster reps. And even then, they still suck. Which is why I'm all about building up a PHC 3019 and dropping it into the replicated chronograph of choice in which the gen uses a real El Primero...as long as it's not a Rolex. (I'm really not a Rolex kinda guy...)
